Create Challenging Test for Students' Future

Today, Tuesday, March 14th 2023, students of vocational school in the SMK Negeri Ampera follow some tests. There are two tests today, namely Indonesia test and English test. This test is called practical test. This day is second day of practical test.

In Indonesia's test, the test is about how to be a journalist. Students read news given by Indonesia teacher. While in English subject, students are tested how they answer the questions given by interviewers based on the job vacancy and application letter that have been written by students.

These tests relate to materials that have been learnt by students so far. "Because this school is vocational school, students should be prepared how to face reality in the future. I believe, they are able to be accepted in the university or work or company, if they are so serious to prepare or learn. They also have passed "PRAKERIN". It is not about a work field only, but it is good for them that are going to continue their study in the University. In interview turn, they will not feel worry to be interviewed", says Gusti, English teacher of SMKN Ampera.

These tests take some hours. Indonesia finishes about 14.00 p.m. While English, finishes about 15.30 p.m. Indonesia and English start at 07.15 a.m.

Indonesia is examined by Siti H. Samau,S.Pd and Rahmatia Tupong,S.Pd. And English is examined by Gusti Omkang Hingmane,S.Pd.,Gr and Miranti Y. Marhaba, S.Pd. The tests are taken in the different room.

"Tests like this are commonly conducted by various institutions for new employees or new students entering an institution. And, the students also dress very elegantly. They seem as if they are entering the working world. Certainly, appearance is also a part of the assessment", Gusti explains.

All of students are satisfied. They try to do their best. They are so happy.
